Tomsk Residents and residents from the Tomsk region can take part in the design project of a new Tomsk airport terminal. After discussion the experts will choose the most interesting ideas for developing a design concept of the renovated terminal building.
Representatives of the administration of the Tomsk region, the management of “Novaport” holding company and the general designer of “ASSAMANN Beraten+Planen LLC” discussed the concept of the new terminal building during the off-site meeting at the Tomsk airport. In particular, they set an objective to include some elements associated with the aircraft designer Nikolai Kamov, whose name was given to the Tomsk airport in 2019.
It is expected that the airport will have multimedia expositions dedicated to Nikolai Kamov, his activities and aviation in general. Local people were asked to help with the choice of a design solution. They can send their ideas to the Public Chamber of Tomsk region until October 31, 2019.
As previously reported, after the reconstruction Tomsk airport space will increase by 5,000 m2. In addition, the new building should provide an opportunity to use jet bridges for boarding and disembarking passengers.
