According to the Interfax news agency, «Kolyvan» is a territory located on the border between plains and mountains. This specially protected area will become the largest in the region. The area of «Gornaya Kolyvan» will include almost 215 thousand hectares. The Denisova Сave will be one of the key places of the national park.
The regional Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment also reports that the national park will have a significant natural, cultural and historical potential, and will also become a «place of attraction» for tourists in Altai Krai.
According to Lyubov Falaleyeva, a leading specialist of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment of the Russian Federation, «Mountain Kolyvan» is taiga, indigenous forests, critically endangered plants and animals. This is the place where the stone-cutting and ore industry developed, so this area is highly attractive for investment.
