A building with the largest “green wall” in Europe will be constructed in London

The Citicape House building with the largest green wall in Europe will be built in central London. Designers of “Sheppard Robson” studio have developed a project of a unique city sight, which will allow authorities to improve the quality of urban air.

Citicape House will be wrapped by a facade of 400,000 plants that are designed to capture over eight tons of carbon and produce six tons of oxygen annually.

The building will be located in the City of London between stations of Farringdon and Moorgate.

After the construction of the 11-storey Citicape House, there will be a five-star hotel, offices, co-workings, spa, a restaurant, and a rooftop terrace with rare wildflowers and a view of the city.

Dan Burr, a partner of Sheppard Robson studio, notes that the construction of the new building in Central London is consistent with the concept of sustainable development of the territory.

The architecture of the building will include special devices for rainwater harvesting to irrigate the green wall.
