According to the ranking published on topuniversities.com, Tomsk is among the worlds’ best student cities (top 100). Tomsk is ranked 73rd leaving Novosibirsk behind.
The ranking shows how good the city is for international students and takes into account such factors as safety, accessibility, environmental situation, employment opportunities, the ranking of universities in the city and student feedback.
According to the experts, Tomsk has a large number of universities and research institutes which makes it one of the largest Russian centers of science and information technologies.
The authors of the ranking note that Tomsk features in the top five for affordability in the «QS Best Student Cities 2019», with low living costs.
