Virtual Guide to Moscow and Russia Installed in Zaryadie Park

A virtual guide to Moscow and Russia has been installed in Zaryadie Park. It provides tourists with information about natural, historical and cultural monuments.

The virtual guide is a multimedia widescreen that allows watching 360-degree video. The height of the screen is two meters, and the width is more than three meters. A person can independently control the video sequence: rotate the picture to the right, left, up and down, turn the building models around their axes. Thanks to the integral detector, the screen reads movements at a distance.

Three thematic sections have been developed for users. They are “Architectural Kaleidoscope”, “Historical Panorama” and “360-Degree Video”.

In the «Architectural Kaleidoscope» section, guests can see 3D images of such Moscow sights as the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, The Monument to Minin and Pozharsky, The State Historical Museum St. Basil’s Cathedral and other places.

The “Historical Panorama” section includes graphic panoramas of the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge, the first Moscow power station, and Kotelnicheskaya Embankment Building. There are also given some historical references on how the terrain and the monument have changed over time.

The 360-degree video section allows you to explore the most distant corners of the country. Thus, guests can go to the Valley of Geysers on Kamchatka, climb Mount Elbrus, visit the canyon near the Neral River in the Krasnoyarsk Krai and look at the volcanic eruption of the Klyuchevskaya Sopka.

The virtual guide is available in three languages: Russian, English and Chinese.

One virtual journey takes 3-5 minutes.
