25 new metro stations will be opened in Moscow

Between 2021 and 2023, 25 new metro stations will appear in Moscow. They will be built on Bolshaya Ring Line, Sokolnicheskaya, Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya and Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya lines.

Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Policy and Construction, said that 25 new metro stations will be opened in the city by 2023. More than 58 km of tunnels, four electric depots and 33 transport interchange hubs will be built.

According to him, within two years it is planned to put into exploitation sections of the Big Ring Line, a section of the yellow metro line from the “Rasskazovka” station to the “Vnukovo” station, a section of the Sokolnicheskaya line from “Salaryevo” to “Stolbovo” to “Potapovo”, as well as stations of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line from the “Yuzhny Port”, “Lianozovo” and “Fiztekh”.

“38.5% of Moscow’s targeted investment program funds are allocated for the underground development”, — added Andrey Bochkaryov.

In December 2020, three metro stations will be opened on the Big Ring Line: “Narodnogo Opolchenia Street”, “Karamyshevskaya” and Electrozavodskaya”. A total of six metro stations were opened in Moscow this year. Four on the Nekrasovskaya metro line, two on the Bolshoi Ring Line.
