New plants, benches and urns will appear in the Siberian Botanical Garden of Tomsk State University in 2020, said director of the Siberian Botanical Garden Mikhail Yamburov, noting that the park is planned to make it attractive to more citizens.
Earlier it was reported, that in addition to the main territory in the center of Tomsk, the Siberian Botanical Garden of Tomsk State University has an arboretum park in the southeast of the city (between the neighborhood Stepanovka and Mokrushin Street). The site is used for scientific purposes and has the status of a specially protected natural area.
According to Mikhail Yamburov, 2020 is a jubilee year for the Siberian Botanical Garden, so it is planned to ennoble the park space, make it attractive for citizens.
He specified, that the work is planned for the summer, and the celebration of the anniversary will take place in the autumn of 2020.
