Faculty of Psychology students contributed to urban design

Fourth-year undergraduates and Master’s students took part in a workshop devoted to the the urban design project “LLTONE” and use of smart-technologies to improve students’ quality of life.

The participants worked on getting the information from the residents of the city, in particular, the views of students on a certain territory, travel patterns, attractiveness of places.

The format of the workshop allowed everyone to be a designer of urban space and to contribute to the urban area’s improvement. Irina Itigecheva, fourth-year undergraduate, the participant of the workshop, noted: “We were divided into teams, and each team was engaged in designing street models, design solutions for those street will be later developed as a part of “LLTONE” project. Then all models were assembled into a large one. The final model will be used in the development of design solutions”.

This form of activity, initiated within the framework of “LLTONE” project, is one of the key for involving city residents, direct users of the urban area, in the process of developing an increased efficiency design solution for the urban environment.
